The liners are attached with snaps which are affixed under the front flap and on the wings of the diaper cover. There are two sets of snaps under the front flap which allow for a more customized fit . The tighter setting will help keep the "gussets" snug against a smaller baby, while the looser setting can be used to prevent uncomfortable markings on the thighs of a larger baby.
